Our Commitment to Accessibility
Roesch Real Estate Group is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to provide equal access to our website.
We strive to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.
Conformance Status
The Roesch Real Estate Group website is partially conformantwith WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard while we continue our ongoing remediation work.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone.
- Skip to main content. A visible-on-focus skip link allows keyboard users to bypass the global navigation.
- Semantic landmarks. Pages use
<header>,<nav>,<main>, and<footer>regions so assistive technologies can move between sections. - Alternative text. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technologies.
- Form labels. All form inputs are paired with visible labels, marked when required, and have clear input semantics (email, telephone, etc.).
- Color contrast. Body copy, navigation, and interactive controls meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for normal text at Level AA.
- Focus indicators. A visible focus outline is shown on every interactive element when navigating with a keyboard.
- Reduced motion. Scroll-driven animations and smooth scrolling are disabled for visitors who set the
prefers-reduced-motionpreference in their operating system. - Responsive design. Content reflows down to a 320 px viewport and supports browser text-resizing up to 200% without loss of functionality.
- Language declaration. The page language is declared in the document root to assist screen readers.
Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
The website is designed to be compatible with:
- Recent versions of NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screen readers
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software
- Keyboard-only navigation
The site is built on modern web standards (HTML5, CSS, ARIA, and JavaScript) and is tested in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet fully conform:
- Third-party documents. Some PDFs and external documents referenced from this site (such as regulatory notices hosted by the New York Department of State) may not be fully accessible. We can provide the same information in an alternative format on request.
- Embedded media. Embedded maps or third-party widgets may have limited accessibility. Contact information is provided as a non-visual alternative.
Assessment Methods
Accessibility has been assessed through:
- Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria
- Automated accessibility testing tools
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
- Manual screen-reader testing
